Terms of Service

1. What GoChildmind is
GoChildmind generates childminding contracts, policies, and related paperwork from the answers you provide about your setting. It is a document preparation tool, not a law firm, and using it does not create a solicitor-client relationship.
2. Not legal advice
The documents we generate are templates populated with your answers. They are designed to reflect common UK childminding practice and current regulatory guidance, but regulations change and every setting is different. You are responsible for checking that generated documents are accurate, complete, and suitable for your circumstances before using them, and for confirming current requirements with your regulator (Ofsted, the Care Inspectorate, or your childminder agency). If you need legal advice, consult a qualified solicitor.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
4. Payment
Document generation is free. A one-off payment of £30, taken through Stripe, removes the preview watermark and enables clean printing and sharing for that document pack. This is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge, and if your fees or circumstances change later you return and buy a fresh pack. Your statutory right to cancel a distance purchase under UK consumer law applies as set out at checkout.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful or to misrepresent your registration status to families.
- Don't attempt to circumvent the watermark or resell generated documents as templates.
- Don't abuse, probe, or disrupt the service.
6. Your content
You own the information you enter and the documents generated from it. You grant us the limited licence needed to store your answers and render your documents back to you and to anyone you share your link with.
7. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for losses arising from your use of generated documents, including disputes with families or regulatory action. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will give notice via the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
